我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I saw a gray whale spy hop off the coast of Kodiak Island, Alaska. It was one of the most amazing experiences. My friend and I saw it from way down the beach and took off running in our hip waders to catch up. When we reached it, we could have ran and jumped into the water and landed on its fluke it was so close to the shore. Gray whales feed on amphipods that live in the mud, so it must have been getting lunch, just like us-we were fishing for salmon on the nearby river.
