ABOUT ME

We are a husband wife duo who play folk/rock/soul music under the band name Dear Frontier. We are touring around Europe this summer to play gigs and work on video projects. We'd be happy to play a gig for you in your living room, backyard, rooftop etc.

We like to travel slowly, staying in places sometimes for months at a time so that jake can make music or claymations and hana can sew some goods. Or so we can work in gardens or as teachers or as it is at the moment, to write stories of our adventures for publications.

We are generally gracious and trustworthy people, and sometimes we like to encourage foot stomping and hollering sing-a-longs.

We teach workshops in NZ about how to grow the soil that grows your garden (http://www.dirtdoctor.co.nz). We know a thing or two about compost, soil, microorganisms and growing food.
