To learn, improve myself and the world if I can, go new places, meet new people, try new things.

ABOUT ME

It's important to me to be as good, helpful, and compassionate as possible to people, to think deeply and logically, to make new friends often, to always explore and learn, and other such things. I love listening to and playing music and most other art forms. I spend as much time as I can in the outdoors, camping, hiking, rafting, surfing, etc. I've had some incredible times traveling in the past and I can't wait to keep going!

I believe if you're good to the world, including yourself, the world will be good back. If you judge people, you shut yourself off to a part of reality; so I try to be constantly open, learning, and changing.

I've only gotten chances to surf so far, but I'm looking forward to hosting in the future.

I've only surfed a few times, in New Zealand, but I loved every experience and am looking forward to doing it more!

Interests

I'm interested in pretty much any subject, but music and outdoors are the biggest. They go hand in hand pretty well most of the time. I can be an adrenaline junkie for sure, but I like chilling out and reading or watching a movie. Parties are fun sometimes, but I really like to just hang out with a small number of people too. And having philosophical discussions is great.

Music, Movies, and Books

For movies, I like comedies best. But anything that's good is good...
I like all kinds of music, but I listen to a lot of singer/songwriters and folk-rock, "indie" rock, etc.
I like books that make me laugh or think, because both have lasting effects. Kurt Vonnegut and Edward Abbey are my two favorite writers at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing on a mountain near Milford Sound in New Zealand surrounded by peaks and looking over an enormous valley with a river winding through it. That was the best view I've ever seen.

I can share certain knowledge of the outdoors, playing guitar, and probably (hopefully) other things too...
