ABOUT ME

I'm matt 23 years old and until this past year lived all my life just south of the Catskills in Upstate NY. I traveled across the country this past January for a job with the Watershed Stewards Project, working with the Yurok Tribe Environmental Program on the Klamath River. I am the youngest of 3 children and am definitely my fathers child. I am now have 7 nieces and nephew with 2 sets of twins.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to live life with a smile. Always be open to new things. Never to be judgmental. To cherish what I love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been mildly participant with staying with hosts in Peru, and was able to host once in Petrolia, CA. But I have lived out in Northern CA so much, it has been hard to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't traveled much. Just finished off school this past year and am working on paying off my dept. My couch surfing experience comes from friends that are in town for a few days, and friends who let me do the same. I like hosting people who have some hobbies to occupy their time when they are at my place. Its hard to entertain people 24/7 and I need some quiet time every once in a while, but in general I am a talker. Meeting new people and taking an interest in what their interested in is exciting. Each person is a unique experience. I like to have fun and try to be as honest and open as possible without being too direct.
