I‘m a 19 year old AuPair from Germany. An AuPair is basically a nanny from abroad that lives in a host family. I spend the last year in Virginia and had the best time of my life so far. I travelled a lot, but also found a second home. I‘m really open minded and love to meet people from all over the world to get to know their stories and traditions. I‘m also really reliable and a generally positive person who laughs for most of the day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One thing that makes trips the most fun is when you meet someone who lives in that city and can show you around. There‘s no better way to find great spots and restaurants. So that’s the main reason why I love the idea of Couchsurfing. It‘s always great to meet people from different areas, especially if you share similar interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Listening to music is really important for me. Right now I‘m really into House/EDM Pop, but I also love Hip Hop. With my favorite movie it‘s kinda as difficult as with my favorite food, I love too many things. The only thing I‘m not really into is Sci-Fi. I also love reading, I feel like since the whole Netflix thing got popular I read way less, but I should star getting back into it. But I love reading biographies for some reason.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Since I‘m from Germany I‘m happy to share to teach you some funny german words or to talk about our culture (and our great food). Many people are surprised when I tell them about my country and how different it is from what they expected it to be. Also I‘m not the greatest cook, but my german pancakes are petty good.
