We are two girls from Finland. We love meeting new people and traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Actually I've wanted to try couch surfing since I first heard about it in our English lesson and now maybe 3-4 years later I find myself in this situation were I really could give it a go.

Basically we were traveling with my best friend Miisa through Europe in the summer of 2018 and this one guy in our hostel (in Budapest) told us about all his great experiences with couch surfing. He told us how interesting is learn about the city and it's hidden treasures through the eyes of an insider.

Now we are coming to New York for the first time and we thought it would be nice to have someone helping us find the best places. We tried this only once before, so we are really just trying to find someone we can trust and be friends with.

Interests

The first things that came to my mind while thinking about what I'm interested in, are sports in general. I used to be a swimmer in a national level but I quit it this summer to make time to travel and to try out other things I've always wanted to. Even thought I don't compete anymore, I keep up with my active lifestyle. Every time I have free time I like to go the gym or just running in the beautiful Finnish nature.

Besides sports I'm interested in different kinds of music but like-who isn't? When I was younger I used to play the doublebass in an orchestra. Now I just kind of listen music and enjoy it.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music vary much depending on the mood and situations I'm in. Me and Miisa both like Harry Potter books and movies a lot.

We also both watch a lot of horror movies and really enjoy them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hanna: One time I almost spilled a glass of milk but I got it on time so I didn't spill it.
Miisa: I have trained aesthetic group gymnastics for ten years and I have won two gold wold champion medals.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: Miisa and I were working in an amusement park the whole summer so we can teach you juggling.

LEARN: We would love to learn more about different cultures all around the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We were inter railing in the summer 2018 so we can share great traveling stories from all around Europe.
