Overview
About Me
I'm a fun-loving and cheerful vegetarian student from Perth currently in my fifth year of study at The University of Western Australia. I love music, exploring, reading, exercising, playing card/boardgames, meeting new people and learning new things! I try to take pleasure in the simple things in life, although I wouldn't say no to new and thrilling experiences :)
Interests
I'm passionate about the natural environment, as well as the animals and people who inhabit it. I'm studying Environmental Engineering and Chemistry in the hope that I can help make a difference and lead the way to a sustainable future.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all books although some of my favourites are The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Bone People by Keri Hulme, The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, Life of Pi by Yann Martel, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, and One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez.
As a general rule of thumb I enjoy any music that I can dance too. I love world music - I listen to the Putumayo playlists/CDs a lot. I also love reggae, hip-hop and anything else with a strong beat.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I volunteered in an elephant refuge in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for one month in 2012. It was so sad to learn about the treatment of elephants in the tourism industry, but so rewarding to be helping to make a difference. I got to wash and feed the elephants and I learnt so much about these majestic creatures. It was the best experience of my life, especially when I got to clean up their poop ;)
Just recently, in 2015, I volunteered at a refugee camp in Belgrade, Serbia, handing out food, clothing etc to the Syrian, Pakistani and Afghani people fleeing their countries. It was a powerful experience hearing their stories and seeing their struggles, and incredibly rewarding to be helping out in any way I could.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to chat about everything and anything! I'll try to cook you a delicious meal (although I'm not very good at cooking) and I'll happily buy you a bottle of wine or some beer in return for your hospitality. (Or some chocolates if alcohol isn't your thing.)
