Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's great to visit and learn about a place with someone who knows it, and I find it a great philosophy. Sharing human connection and being open to meeting new people is a lovely way to travel and live.

Interests

I love working with my hands, when at home, I'll very often be sitting behind a sewing machine, creating constantly. When travelling, and have no access to my machines, i usually go on a quest to learn and experiment withsomething new. Well, I always do that, access to sewing machines or not. Come to think of it, I'm not sure my sanity would survive without a creative outlet of some kind.

I'm very interested in growing things, and gardening. I'm passionate about learning about permaculture, and hope to soon get to try some of my knowledge out on my own piece of land.

I like to bake, cook, and experiment in the kitchen, with sourdough bread baking for example, and other fermentations.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I have a fair amount of sewing knowledge I can share, and a few food fermentation skills too. (Like making your own yoghurt, which ends up way cheaper than store bought and just as good)

As for learning, I'm always interested in new knowledge and skill.
I love to taste a learn about local cuisines.
