ABOUT ME

We live very simple, thrifty lives filled with lots of good food, beer and cheer. I grow and preserve all the vegetables we can eat. George is a natural (and former professional) cook and is highly skilled at turning whatever vegetables I tell him need to be used first into tasty meals. Friends joke that you never know what's hiding in our enchiladas, but they sure as hell taste good. Other than gardening, eating and beer-drinking, we enjoy walking our two dogs, Chimay and Blanche, on daily walks, watching movies, reading, commuting by bike, and other completely mundane activities associated with daily life. We quite honestly do not get out enough, but we are both native St. Louisans who know the city well, and we would be glad to live vicariously through visitors!

PHILOSOPHY

-Accept even if you can't understand
-Don't waste food
-And in the word's of my late grandmother, "If I can't sleep tonight, I can always sleep tomorrow night," which signifies to me rolling with the punches and having faith that things will be OK in the end...
