30 year old musician (mostly early jazz and some punk/prog), I live 50% in the USA (New Orleans) and 50% tour around Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel on my own or with one person for work, and it's easy to just end up sitting in a hostel with a load of drunk 21 year olds. I think it's much better to stay with a local and get recommendations, rather than end up at bland tourists spots. My job is playing music in bars or clubs, so when it's my free time I want to have proper conversations and see museums and galleries, not get drunk in a room!

I often host traveling musicians from the USA and Europe in my house in London, and love showing them around, so when I'm back in the UK I'll be accepting guests again.

I play mostly jazz and am heavily involved with the activist street music scene in the USA. Honestly I don't watch a lot of films, but I do enjoy cult British comedy programs such as Jam and The Day Today.
