About Me

Hi,
My name is Hannah and I’m from Denmark. I'm on my second sabbatical year at the moment after finishing school. I've been using gap years traveling(I spent half a year backpacking in Central America) and my next destination is Vietnam and other countries around it(I'll figure it out once I'm there;) I) I love the concept of Couchsurfing. I love to share similarities, differences, stories and perspectives on life, which is one of the many reasons I find traveling so fulfilling. I usually travel with one or two of my best friends who share my interest in this kind of traveling, also hitchhiking, where you’re able not only to see other countries but get to know the people and the culture behind it. I am not that interested in tourist attractions museums etc, I would much rather learn about the people, country or/and the nature at my traveling location!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all different kinds of music, from some of the biggest artists like Queen, Beatles or Stevie wonder. It’s all sorts of genres like country, reggae, hip hop, rock you name it. But what I find most interesting is a voice with an edge, like Amy whinehouse or a German band named AnnenMayKantereit!
I love to get inspired listening to different kinds of music or jamming with anyone who’s up for it, even though I’m not the best guitar player, but I’ll sing my heart out if possible;)

I don't have a favorite author but I generally really likel science fiction/post-apocalyptic dystopias describing different/restricted/authoritarian societies and what it does to the human psyche. For example 1984, fahrenheit 451 or a Handmaid's tale.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking from Paris to Denmark with my two friends, only using Couchsurfing as accommodation , or kind offers from people we met on the way! No hotels or public transportations.

Teach, Learn, Share

Interesting conversations about anything you’d like, I love discussions and to challenge each other’s views.
I’m very into animal welfare, love nature and sustainable concepts with awareness of biodiversity, agroculture and organic farming, and I’ve grown up with animals around me, so I love to talk about or discuss your views on it, even if it is different . You are more than welcome to challenge my views, that’s how we develop our standpoints!
