Hello! We are a young couple living in Oakland, California and love to travel and host travelers. We are both biologists and adore all kinds of outdoor activities and adventures. We are big backpackers and hikers and are trying to backpack in as many parks as we can. We also both love cooking and baking (especially experimental type things).

I (Hannah) couchsurfed in Europe before and saw how much more of a place you can see through a local's eyes. We hosted couchsurfers in our co-op and went on to be great friends with a few of them. I love that this site can make the world seem so much closer and more connected.

We hiked the John Muir Trail Summer, 2014. We got engaged at the top of Mt. Whitney at sunrise when Jeneya proposed after carrying the ring for over 200 miles.
