About Me

hello!

my name is hannah, i use she or they pronouns. I graduated highschool (philips exeter academy) in june 2015, lived outside of porto, portugal for the summer (and am returning to work in february), and I am currently in japan working through WWOOFjapan on farms across the country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

my favourite music/musician is always fluctuating. currently, my favourite group is: freelance whales. my favourite song is: book by chon.

my favourite books are tied: hamlet by shakespeare and: sula by toni morrison. i have read both countless times and studied them in depth. if you know either, i would love to start a conversation about them.

as for movies, i'm kind of behind. if you have any recommendations, i'd love to hear. currently my favourite movies are tied: paprika and tokyo godfathers, both by satoshi kon

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

well, as i write this i am still completing it but--

at 18 i raised money to allow me to take a gap year before uni, to live in portugal for three months (with my significant other) and then japan for three months (completely by myself) and then portugal again for 6 months. all the planning, booking, buying, packing, i have done by myself, and i'm pretty proud of that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

if you have a sitar, i can play (well, it's been a while since i last played, but i studied it for a while so in theory i could)

if you have any canvas/paper/art supplies laying around, i'll make some art for your place

i can attempt cooking, i can attempt humor
