I am an 18 year old privileged white girl from Germany, who decided to figure out how and why the world works in the ways that it does.
I graduated high school the summer of 2016 and had already decided that I would save my money for the rest of the year and begin to travel the next year. It wasn't just me though. My best friend Conny was alongside with me for all of this. We set out to fly to New York on the 1st of February with too much luggage and definitely not enough life experience to do what we were going to do. Which was buy a backpack and start walking.
Traveling for 5 months with another person by your side, who most of the time is the only other person that understands you, psychologically and language-wise, and sometimes is the only other person, period, has taught me more about myself than I thought imaginable.
Only with the help of amazing people on Couchsurfing and in general, people on the road, were we able to have such an amazing time.
I will start to study Geography this coming fall, and will surely not start to settle.
I will continue to travel as much as I possibly can, mostly with Conny by my side.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite author is Benedikt Wells, if you can read German, do look into him. Every time I read a book of his it feels like he has written down my thoughts, not only the topics that he writes about, but also the style of his writing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made a last minute decision and booked a 4 day hiking tour for the next day through the Sierra Norte mountains of Mexico, which can go up to 3200m. Blue lips, beans for breakfast and all, it was an experience I will not forget.
