About Me
Hello !
I'm a New England based artist a who works with printmaking and fused glass. I've spent the past year traveling from the East coast to the West coast teaching, farming, and making art. I most enjoy learning and connecting with people.
This past year I
-worked at Potomac Vegtable Farm an organic farm in NoVA
-Coordinated the print shop at Pilchuck School of Glass in Stanwood, Washington, a summer glass school founded by Dale Chihuly-
-Taught at a private high school in Holderness, NH.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am traveling to an Artist Residency in Grinnell, Iowa in late April.
http://grincitycollective.org/about.html From April 19th -22nd I am stoping in Columbus (Ohio), Normal (Illinois) and Iowa City to look at MFA programs at Ohio State University, Illinois State University, and University of Iowa.
Since I have never travelled in the Midwest and am thinking about going to school in these city's I want to stay with people that live there & Couch Surfing sounds more interesting then staying in a hotel!
I will only be in each town one night so I'm down for going out to your favorite place in the city for dinner, beers, dancing, live music, or other more interesting thing Columbus, Normal, or Iowa City has to offer. Also up for staying in for dinner and chatting .

Music, Movies, and Books
Live music is great.
When hanging out: mostly folk/bluegrass/blues/jazz music, California Honey Drops, Lady Lamb, Leone Bridges, Lana La Haves.
Shameless love for 90's & 20's throw backs.
When in the studio: classical or instrumental anything/ Bach
When on the radio : a lot of Tiny Desk Concerts, SoFar, Seattle's KEXP, and NPR.
I'm currently reading Rachel Carson's Silent Spring, The Art of Happiness: conversations with the Dalai Lama, and a collection of Essays by Albert Camus.
Feminism is for Everybody by Bell Hook's, On Walden Pond(mixed feelings). Also a huge Stephan King fan.
I cry every time I watch Titanic. Scary movies aren't the best for me. But I really like movies by Charlie Kaufman and movies that include Bill Maurry.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think it is a tie between seeing a black bear on a 10 day solo hike on the long trail in VT and pulling prints with Mona Hatoum a Lebanese-born Palestinian video artist and installation artist who lives in London.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm looking for a place to crash with nice company, local information, and interesting conversation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll have a car full of art supplies, including blank canvas tote bags... if you interested I can show you how to block print.
I also really enjoy cooking and make a mean curry.
