About Me

Hi! I’m a fourth-year undergraduate student studying agriculture at a university in Japan. Right now, I’m in Belgium as an exchange student — my very first time in Europe! Since everything here feels new and exciting, I’m hoping to travel around and experience as much as I can during my stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve mostly been surrounded by Asian culture until now, so discovering new cultures and ways of life in Europe is fascinating to me. Through Couchsurfing, I’d love to meet people I could never encounter otherwise. Of course, I could stay in hotels, but for me, the purpose of this journey isn’t just sightseeing — it’s to understand how people live, what they see, and how they feel in their everyday lives. I’m really looking forward to those human connections.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of jazz — my favorite artist right now is Laufey. I love how she mixes jazz and classical elements in a modern way; her songs perfectly match the autumn mood. I also enjoy Queen, Michael Jackson, and Britney Spears.
As for movies, I’m a big fan of Star Wars and Studio Ghibli films. I heard there’s a Star Wars filming location in Ireland, and I definitely want to visit it someday!
When it comes to books, I love stories and adventures — my favorite is The NeverEnding Story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Staying in the snow cave for 18hours (-15 ℃) -without a sleeping mat, gas.

This is one of the training to survive in the mountains, and tradition for the second year club members.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d be happy to share things about Japanese culture and food. I lived in Tokyo for a long time, so if you ever visit Japan, I can give you plenty of tips and local recommendations!
I'm interested in the wisdom that I cannot find on the guide book(unique way of saying, a hidden spot...). Of course, I can teach Japanese so that you can use it when you travel Japan.

Also I love outdoor activities, like climbing, mountaineering, hiking,,,
I want to go out and enjoy nature with you:)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I also enjoy chatting about cultural differences, perspectives, and daily life — even small conversations make me happy.
