CURRENT MISSION

Finding beauty in any moment, weather it is a view of Vienna and the Alps from your window seat on the plane, or a perfect cup of Ethiopian coffee that naturally tastes of pure raspberry. Everyday beauty propells my life and makes me want to be better.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 25 year old lady who loves traveling, and at least for now I have settled from my wandering ways in beautiful Saint Paul. I am a professional baker with many hobbies and artsy-fartsy tendencies. My husband is a photography instructor and together we also own our own business. We are generally pretty low key, we like to sit on patios with a firepit and a good beer in hand. Live music is good too, and plentiful in Minneapolis/Saint Paul. We can show you all the best coffee shops in town, if you are a coffee geek like us. Our dog Wilma is a tail chaser and a connoisseur of table scraps, our hedgehog Heidi is a shy little freak of nature.

PHILOSOPHY

We try to be non-materialistic and live small but with good design. We care about the health of our gorgeous planet and local community as well as equality for all people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Joined last year before taking a cross country trip that ended with a hop, skip and a jump to Hawaii. Stayed with a lot of really awesome folks on that trip, then went to TX for a while where we were able to host on a few occasions as well. We really LOVE what CS is all about and can't wait to meet more people through it!

Oh gosh, I have too many interests/hobbies to list. I wish I had more time and energy to learn more. I enjoy being outside, cooking with local ingredients, making things that could just as easily be bought at the grocery store. Like butter, or crackers. It's just fun to be able to make it yourself, tastes better too. I draw/paint/craft with leather/sew/cake and cookie decorating....basically I just like to make pretty things. I want to learn glass blowing, build furniture, weave fabric...ect.

My husband, Tim has an MFA in photography. He is a movie buff with a soft spot for Ingmar Bergman and he is a bit of a coffee snob. Together we are easygoing travelers who love to meet new people and explore everything.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Since getting married in 2010 our 3 apartments front windows have faced an ornate hilltop Cathedral, a serene Chinese mountain range, and a truck dealership along a noisy highway. Weather or not our view was splendid, we learned important lessons in these vastly different places and we’re looking forward to our many views to come.
