ABOUT ME

28 years old and still trying to figure out who I wanna be when I grow up... or if I even want to grow up at all.

Travelling will forever be the passion. I'm pretty jazzed to visit the entire planet... twice maybe? We'll see.

I love live music and people who love sharing music. I am an aspiring uke player and love to sing and am always thrilled to be a part of a jam session.

I find my interests when I travel these days has changed from when I was younger. Sometimes the hot tourist spots are amazing but I find myself more and more drawn to the quieter moments and places while travelling that really show people living. Getting to watch and learn the nuances of different cultures and connect with people over all the beautiful ways we are different.

I spent the past 6 months working on a farm after several years of city living and the return to nature has been so nurturing. I want to keep nature close to me as much as possible, especially in my travels.

PHILOSOPHY

I refuse to believe that I have to sacrifice my happiness for a job or a pay check.

Treat people well, laugh regularly (it's good for you), and take just the right amount of things seriously.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed on a few couches a few years ago and am just getting back into. Don't currently have a solid place of my own but I hope to one day host people to give back to the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with some cool hosts in Europe a while back and a nice couple on a ski trip here in Canada. All very kind and generous people.

兴趣

I'd like to think I'm pretty crafty. Just recently started teaching myself to crochet and I have some basic skills in sewing and cross stitching. Dabble in painting and drawing.

I love music, creating and listening to it. I've written a few songs which I play on my uke as well as some covers.

Being in nature in any capacity. I like getting my hands dirty working outside, happy to help with yard work and gardens and things of the like.

My favorite book will always be the Alchemist By Paulo Coelho

Feeling fairly disenchanted with movies as of late. I grew up watching the Lord of The Rings movies and really love them. Am a Disney guy... kind of a sucker for animation and musicals.

Drove a motorcycle on the Ha Giang Loop for four days and didn't die. The most incredible drive I've ever taken, maybe one of the most incredible experiences I've had while travelling.

I love dogs, I have one at my family home who I miss every day, so I'm a trained and certified dog walker (Please speak to my dog Leo for references)

I really like yoga and know a few things... though I'm more of a student there then a teacher.

I can do some basic crocheting and can sew a thing or two.

Some basic uke chords and strumming patterns. Want to learn the guitar!

I'm a hard working laborer and am comfortable in gardens around produce and plants.
