CURRENT MISSION

Just finished four years work in an NGO in Colombia, hoping to find similar work back in Latin America. In the mean time I'm taking some time off to see family and friends.

ABOUT ME

I hope my friends would say I'm good fun, don't take life too seriously but I'm also a hard worker and love challenging myself.

PHILOSOPHY

I try and remember to live in the moment rather than constantly looking forward or regretting the past. I'm excited for the next chapter of my life, I don't see the point in getting a job that I don't like or working for something I don't believe in. I think there's a lot of potential for social change in the world and I'm hoping I can be involved in part of it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been to lots of couch surfing events and have stayed with afew people when travelling with friends but never from my own profile. Looking forward to building up my experience!

Interests

I'm studying human rights, very politically interested and interested in the pursuit of social justice. I love learning new languages, seeing live music, cycling, walking, meeting new people and hearing their stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

In preparation for coming to Colombia I read a lot of Colombian literature - Garcia Marquez, Laura Restrepo. I love Alende, House of Spirits. I mostly read non fiction these days, I love Political books. Enjoy most live music, I'm not fussy!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling round South America when I was 18 initiated my love of travelling. Since I have done big trips in East Africa and Vietnam. I've spent the past four years in Colombia which I know pretty well having travelled extensively throughout my time there.
