On a quiet afternoon you can find me on my hammock with a good book and a beer. On a busy afternoon you can find me running around like a chicken with my head chopped off, trying to manage responsibilities so that I can get my hammock time!

I'm about to have knee surgery and won't be much use of anyone for a couch surfing experience, but plan to open my couch as soon as I can!

I think CS is a fantastic idea- what better way to travel than to stay with a local and feel the pulse of a place? Real experiences.

Intereses

I am an amateur photographer and am trying to motivate myself to take photo adventures more often. I love hiking, biking & kayaking and want to get scuba certified. I wish every day included a hammock.

Música, películas y libros

Putting a favorite album on and picking up a good book is my favorite way to relax, so I cannot possibly include all my favorite music & books here.

However, I can tell you that I grew up on a steady diet of the Grateful Dead, Neil Young/ CSNY, Phish, the Allman Brothers and more (can you tell my parents are hippies?)... I've branched out to many other genres and artists by now, but the healthy appreciation for music has stayed with me. I have music playing about 95% of the time.

I have been lucky enough to travel and have many adventures in beautiful places. My favorite was living in Atenas, Costa Rica while studying sustainable development. Almost every morning (if I didn't have early farm duty!) I would roll out of bed at 6AM, lace up my hiking boots, fill up my water bottle, and go for a morning walk to Vista de la Presa to see the sun rise above the rolling hills and the city of San Jose in the distance. No two sunrises were the same and I treasured every moment.
