I'm a traveler at heart but have settled back in my home region of Central Illinois while I completed a masters program in Nonprofit Leadership. Since then, I've opened a Healing Arts nonprofit where we work to make practices like yoga, meditation, and plant medicine more accessible to all.

After spending a year freelancing and traveling around Europe, I wanted to open up my home the way so many others have done for me. Whether you're coming for a conference, event, or to explore our midwest river town, you'll find a comfortable room, a friendly cat, some warm meals, and local tips here! I also hope to travel through Couchsurfing more throughout the US and meet locals in their corners of the states.

While studying English in school I was drawn to turn of the century literature (Picture of Dorian Gray, The Awakening), magical realism (Jorges Borges), and Absurdist Lit (Waiting for Godot). I also love a good sci-fi novel (Fahrenheit 451, The Dispossessed). I had trouble getting back into reading for fun after studying. Have mostly been reading books on Nonprofit Leadership and contemporary trauma recovery for my yoga work.

I'll never watch a TV show I enjoyed more than West Wing. Bluesy, Folsky music is what I tend to listen to most. Always going back to Black Keys, Avett Brothers, Ben Sollee. Always love female voices like Margo Price, Waxahatchee, Hurray for the Riff Raff.

I haven't been solo traveling as much as a lot of people I know, but I did once take a trip to Tenerife, met some incredible humans through couchsurfing and hostels, and went actual surfing, which was a big accomplishment for this midwestern girl!
