About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel.... See what the world is about.... See what its people are about.... Meet and connect with locals in lots of new places :)

ABOUT ME

I am from California but was living in Malta I was living for about 15 months. There I worked with migrants and refugees for the UN refugee agency. I have recently moved back to California, where I'll stay for the next year or so. After this I could stay in California, or move to New York, another city in Europe, perhaps Paris! Before I headed back to the U.S. I traveled around Europe for a couple months, visiting Croatia, Spain, and Paris.... I also hope to return to Europe to live there again soon. I studied International Relations and Spanish in college, and have just done a Fulbright English Teaching project in Malta during this past year. I will continue developing my career in humanitarian work and refugee issues, get my masters in the next couple years, and in the mean time continue traveling and exploring. I'm social, relaxed, very open-minded, adventurous, and very caring. I'm interested in really getting to know the reality of places where I visit, and meeting people.

PHILOSOPHY

I'll usually take the plunge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted surfers in my flat in Sliema, Malta, throughout the past year. After this I traveled around Europe and couch surfed in Barcelona. I also attended some events in Malta and helped show around people visiting Malta.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have a lot of friends in Malta who host couch surfers and I have met a lot of them along the way. The philosophy and community is great and I'm looking foward to learning more about it and becoming more involved. I lived with people who hosted couch surfers regularly but I haven't gotten to be a host yet. I'm really excited to be couch surfing myself!

Interests

I am working with migrants and refugees now in Malta, which I find very interesting and I will continue to pursue as my carreer. I love humanitarian work in general. I'm an adventurous soul, love taking the unknown road and putting myself in new situations. I'll alsmost always take the plung. I love art, music and dancing. I need the outdoors in my life but also love cities, culture and people. I'm social, very caring and empathetic. Im open-minded and think I can connect with a wide range of people and places.
