Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a couple times and had only fantastic experiences, also met up with couchsurfers coming through Chiang Mai. I hope someday to have a place where I can also host people...

Interests

Travelling to random places, cooking complicated meals, being in nature, conflict resolution, immigrants rights...doing something meaningful with my life! Other things I love are to go out dancing, take road trips, late night swimming and just spending time with good friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favourite movies are The Motorcycle Diaries, Pan's Labyrinth, Amelie..I love Spanish films especially.

For music I like (among many others) Devendra Banhart, Ojos de Brujo, Jurassic 5, the Beatles, Orishas, Johnny Cash, Billie Holiday, Bela Fleck, Silvio Rodriguez, Manu Chao..pretty much every type of music. I also play the piano (though not particularly well) and love flamenco music.

I read a lot...but some good books I've read lately have been; A Thousand Splendid Suns, Dreams from my Father, The Namesake, Dangerous Love and Midnight's Children.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would especially love to meet people who I can practice speaking Spanish, Japanese or Arabic with, or who can show me how to cook something new and interesting.

I just moved to Albuquerque and would love to meet others living here and get to know the city together!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I work as an educator/trainer, so can share my experiences with that, can also help out with some of the languages I know (English, Spanish, some Japanese and Arabic). I also like to cook yummy healthy food so I can cook for you : )
