ABOUT ME

I am currently a graduate student doing a degree in international relations/education.
I believe that since we only have one life that we should make the most of it and try to live a life where we can look back and have little to no regrets. I am a free spirit with an open mind and a love for adventure. I love making friends in new places and meeting new people who like to stray off the beaten path. I am friendly, outgoing and have a serious case of wanderlust.

Some say that my mind is always in the clouds while others accuse me of having the mind of a 40 year old women when it comes to discussing existential topics.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because it is a great way to meet new people, form connections and to really get a feel for a place and to get to see the less touristy side . It's a great community of trust and exchange where people open up their homes out of kindness and take the time to show you(or at least tell you about) all the cool local places, recommend more interesting activities or tell you what is worth seeing and what isn't. They introduce you to their country, culture and to all the things that you may not have found on your own.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I go to couch surfing events, I host, and am interested in meeting up with fellow couch surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have mostly been a guest however I have also hosted a few times and hope to do so more once I get more settled in a place that is my own.

Traveling, the arts, music,Food/ cooking!, languages and learning about new cultures.I greatly enjoy reading and writing creative pieces let it be poetry or creative nonfiction or lyrical works. I also enjoy hiking camping and other outdoor sports/activities such as rock climbing and scuba diving. Things that really grab my attention essentially is anything new, or that engages any type of thought,self /worldly reflection or creativity. I like to challenge myself and to try to push the limits.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love cartoons such as Pixar and Tim Burton and the Hayao Miyazaki films. I also enjoy thrillers, action movies and movies that give you something to think about, such as Inception, Moulin Rogue, Amelie, the matrix. I enjoy nonfiction books , prose, poetry and spoken word.Some of my favorite authors are Edgar Poe,Neil Gaiman,Patrick Rothfuss, Stephen King. My favorite band are the RHCP, However I like all types of music from Indy, pop, rock, rap,acoustic and etc. the list goes on forever. What I like will depend on the day and my mood.I love being introduced to new music, movies and literature.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Wow this is a hard one I believe that my life has been a quilt work of these moments . However I believe that one of the most amazing things I did was motorbike/ scooter in Vietnam and swim with the whale sharks in the Philippines.

I can share language skills in English, French and Spanish, I love to cook so I can also share recipes and can cook one of my favorite dishes in exchange for one of my hosts . As well as some random/ fun facts that I've collected along the way and tips from places that I've traveled to.

With each host it's different, but I enjoy trading travel stories and sharing life experience. I also enjoy sharing a meal.
