Update 2016: There are 3 kids by now and, less surprise, they have turned older. Now they are 9, 6 and 2. There is also a cat living with us. So if you have any allergies against kids or cats you probably won't feel very comfortable here.

CURRENT MISSION

We are back from our journey and most of what I told below lies in the past. It is time to renew the text but I didn't do it so far. But to get to the most important point: because of our own experiences, especially famillies are most wellcome.

A half year journey around the world. An adventure of learning about the world and ourselfs.

ABOUT ME

We are a little family from Germany on a half year journey around the world: Hannes (38), Eike (42), Nora (6), Jule (3). Although we are circling the world once we are visiting mostly the pacific and asian parts of it: Hawaii, Cook Islands, New Zealand, Singapor, Malaysia, Thailand...depending on our mood and pace also Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar. As the personal experiences are the most valuable we would be glad to be invited by Cochsurfing hosts to stay and to exchange impressions and ideas. Our kids would be thrilled to find new playmates.

The shortest way to yourself (and your family) is around the world. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We do not have any Couchsurfing experiences yet, but we are certain that they will be good experiences and therefore we are happy to host couchsurfers once we are back in Germany. And of course we are especially looking forward to host families.

Interests

We like to be outdoor and enjoy the nature. We do so by hiking (tramping), mountain-biking, sailing, climbing (although we dont do at the moment) and other things as well. We love to travel because we want to learn about people and their culture in different parts of the world. Therefore we usually do not rush from one museum to another tourist highlight but enjoy it to just sit and watch (and listen and smell and taste...) to experience an new country. But the best thing, of course, is to meet people, talk and share a bit of everybodys life. That is why we are looking forward to new Couchsurfing experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently on our journey now: We had been able to see (and even touch with a stick) flowing hot lava at a volcano on Hawaii. A very impressing experience.
