Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By now, I haven't had the experience of hosting yet; I've just surfed once with a wonderful guy in Stockholm.
I'm now traveling, but when I get home, I'll be able to host people. I'm already looking forward :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was quite recently.
With a friend, I stayed in Stockholm at the place of a wonderful guy called Luis.
I was a little scared in the beginning, because it felt so awkward to stay with someone you don't know at all, but in the end we had a great time together and Luis cooked for us and showed us Stockholm's exciting nightlife :)

Interests

It makes me very happy to create something. It could be a text, a picture, a melody or a dress;
the process of making something new and being able to let my hands make what my imagination tells me to, fills me with joy.

I also like to meet people. I'm interested in the way they think, why they do what they do.
The fact that my mother is a psychologist may have formed this interest.

I was raised in a very cultural-oriented family where my father plays the piano, my mother writes poetry and theaterpieces and where both of my parents read a lot. This may have resulted in my interest in many forms of art such as music, photography, film and dance.
I like to play piano, sing and write songs and I study Singer&Songwriter at the conservatory of Enschede, The Netherlands.
I feel very happy when I'm surrounded by the ones I love and we all talk, relax or make music together, but I feel very strong and independent as well when I travel on my own.

Performing with my new band Limoensneeuw, organize a festival with my former band InfraRood and going to Scandinavia for a photography/poetry/music project.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you about playing the piano and singing and I can tell you about how to write a song, since songwriting is my main study at the conservatory in Enschede, Holland. I can also tell you about photography, that's something I do a lot. I also know a little bit about the Indonesian kitchen (my mother is from Indonesia) and I could advise you music and art movies I like.
