About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To boldly go where no one has gone before. :)
ABOUT ME
Who am I?
Well, after being born next to Frankfurt and going to school there, I studied Mechatronics at Darmstadt University of Technology. I did a one-year Erasmus exchange at Warsaw University of Technology and also lived in Bonn, Leipzig and Lohr am Main.
During my studies, I was an active member of the student organization AIESEC and took the chance to travel a lot and meet people from all over the world. :)
Trying to combine my interests, my beliefs and my professional and personal skills, I ended up as an international project manager for solar power plants in a small village next to Würzburg and live in this beautiful city for more than 2 years now. My job gave me the opportunity to travel a bit and see exciting countries such as Tanzania, Jordan or Saudi Arabia. And hopefully more to come!
Obviously, I still love to travel and meet international people - not only in order to enjoy the exotic touch, but even more to learn for myself. The more difficult it gets to understand others, the more worth it is trying!
Besides travelling, I do sports, love to read books and currently work on setting up my new flat - which is not final yet, but always ready to receive Couchsurfers. :)
PHILOSOPHY
"Kites rise highest against the wind - not with it." (Winston Churchill)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'll be happy to get to know people with similar interests and show my city to travelers. Also, my couch is available for guests! Of course, I also hope to be received when looking for a couch. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I spent one night with a friend at a Couchsurfer's place in Bamberg which was really nice. Hope there will be more to come!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I currently read the "Rivers of London" novels which I find quite entertaining. Afterwards I'll start Life of Pi.
Movies? There's so many good ones!
I also really like Star Trek (DS9 and TNG) even though I don't consider myself a hardcore trekkie. ;)
Music: Mainly rock and alternative, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a party where they play mainstream or electronic music... I'm just not very keen on German "schlagers" - at least not without huge amounts of alcohol...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania? The Greenland glaciers from the airplane? The rough charm of my beloved Warsaw? The metropolism of London? The cultural heritage of Weimar or the cute beauty of Bamberg? Or the personalities of all the people I had the chance to meet? I think in the end it will be a mixture of it all - just life. :)
