About Me

Hello I'm hansol from South Korea, 22 years old, University student in Korea!
I came to America to participate a program sponsored by Korean government. In this program, we have a chance to study English for four months and after that we can work as an intern in the company or other organizations.
In my case, I'm staying in San Diego to study English. Also, fortunately, I got accepted from a government organization in Vermont so I will go there at the last week of November. The organization is a trading center for business in Vermont so I'm very excited.
My major is International Studies so I am interested in finance and area studies. In addition I'm studying Chinese by myself to work in global business market.
In my personality, I'm little bit shy when I meet person at first, but I try to do my best to close and when I feel comfortable, I always do my best for my friends. That's me and nice to meet you :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard that I could meet many wonderful people. In Korea, it is hard to experience Couchsurfing. Maybe it is not familiar to Korean yet. Thus I want to know why they share their house to a stranger also I want to learn that open mind. After I understand and learn such things, I want to share my room also.
Also I heard that through this experience, I could meet good friends all over the world! I think sharing their personal space is very hard to do that with some risks, but if someone do that, I think that person is really kind. I want to share my culture with the people, to be a good friend to them too.

Interests

I have interests in diverse culture, especially food!! While I have stayed in my homestay house, I often cooked with my homestay parents. One of them came from Mexico , so I could learn how to make salsa sauce, Da malis, etc. Also by doing that, I could be close to them. While we cook, we can talk much also sharing our food made by ourselves make our bonds strong. Tha'st the reason why I love to cook. It is important not only for the results but also the process. While we make some food, we can share our thinking, and we can talk a lot around the table with delicious food and some wine. When some people eat well my food, I also feel happy.
