Anything directed by Wes Anderson or Quinten Tarrantino is always a winner.
Catch 22 is a classic, and recently I read James Fray's "A Million Little Pieces" and "My Friend Leonard" which are incredible. Fray has a very unique writing style and always been a big fan .

In 2013 I spent 12 weeks volunteering in a rural village in Nicaragua with a population of 120 people. We were an hour and a half hike from the nearest road and 4 hours from the nearest city.
