My name is Jocee .

I currently am a founder and co founder of five meet ups : Bay Area Single 35+ Meetup, Bay Area Art and Culturla Meet Up, Music, Live, North Bay, Marin Plein Aire and Cafe Sketchers Meet Up and Marin Raw Foodies Meet Up I enjoy my time sitting and listening to Dharma talks and spending quality time with members/friends of my meet up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Its a great way to meet generous new friends from different countries.. I am a very social creature ready to discover and venture around the world...Always been an explorer.. particularly the San Francisco Bay Area and The Monterey Peninsula. Indeed, I have explored Art, Cultural, and Spiritual and Sacred Sites in several Western, Northwestern, and Southwestern states in the USA. around the world and have begun my journey to live life to the fullest...

Interests

Painting, sculpting, event planning and tours. I am an entrepreneur on my way to opening a second business in tours and travel (blog above). In addition to the blog, I'm a certified tour guide/operator through the accredited ITMI of San Francisco.

I have been an artist since 1987, and I'm excited to connect with other artists within my new Marin Plein Air and Cafe Sketcher Meet Up. I love to promote current cultural and artistic events and activities as I travel throughout the San Francisco Bay area as well as the road well traveled domestically and internationally...

It's been a good life and I am grateful to be organizing events and activities for my 3 meet ups (Bay Area Singles 35+ Meet Up, Bay Area Art and Cultural Meet Up and Live, Music, North Bay Meet Up ) I have met some wonderful members in my journey and some has become life time friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a sucker for romantic movies and romantic books.. chick flicks.. comedies, Shakespeare...action and adventure.. mystery... documentaries... as well as just uplifting movies that stir the soul.

Music...... I enjoy are the following in order jazz, celtic, classical, pop, bossa nova, rock and roll, ..just to name a few...

Lastly, books... I could spend all night reading philosophy books....Buddhism.. Hinduism..Kabbalah...Taoism... . literature like Dickens.. Alcott.. Steinbeck..Jack London..Hemmingway....self help inspiring books like ... Tolle, Kornfield, Dalai Lama, Chodron, Welwood, Chopra, Nisker, Reb Anderson....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the last 8 years I have organized events for large meet ups with as many as 5000 members (humbly, of course) . I love to organize events to support members and build community for singles who have been effected by separation, divorce, or widowed, . I have also healed my clients of their pains through massage therapy ( since 1996) and in the future through expressive art therapy. I am planning to finish graduate school in the next 4 years to become a therapist.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I travel, I would like to teach my art work that I learned from my talented instructors to members of my meet up group or my travel blog tribe. The process of my journey domestically and internationally will help me write a travel blog. Eventually, I will be setting up step on tours in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as The Monterey Peninsula and write eguides and ebooks in art, cultural, spiritual, and sacred sites in the next 6 months.

I love to share what I learned and practiced in Buddhism and Kabbalah.... as well as what I learned in psychology and other philosophies.
