Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
explore Europe one weekend at a time
ABOUT ME
Last year I discovered the wonders of couch surfing as a host in Launceston, Tasmania. This year I plan to visit some of my beautiful couch surfing friends and make new ones while living in London and visiting Europe.
I'm easy going, hardworking and open to new people and ideas. I'm always keen to try new foods and experiences.
I also have a blog about my travels. You can check me out at

PHILOSOPHY
To quote Kurt Vonnegut "We are here on earth to fart around don't let anybody tell you different"
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted more than a dozen people from places as diverse as Nepal, New York, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, Switzerland and Belgium. Now I want to try out life as a surfer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All the people I've met through couch surfing have been fantastic. I want to make friends with more surfers and learn about their cultures and travelling experiences.
Intereses
Talking! (which I get to do a lot of at work but it never seems enough) I like participating in sport and I coach a rowing team on the river near my home. I also love movies, theatre, visiting local wineries (and bars!) walking in the outdoors and my first great love ... chocolate!

Música, películas y libros
I love music whether it's on the radio, cd or live: Florence and the Machine, Kings of Leon, the Temper Trap, Vampire Weekend, the Presets, Dire Straits.
Some favourite movies include: Pan's Labrinth, Emperor's New Groove, Love Actually, Perfume, Anchorman.
I recently read "We need to talk about Kevin" which was gripping but also disturbing.
Algo increíble que he hecho
There was a famous gold mine collapse here in 2006 when two miners were trapped under rock for two weeks before they were rescued but they survived. It made international papers. I have been down to the very spot where it happened 980 metres under the earth.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
There's a phrase we use in Australia 'cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey' A lot of people don't know that this phrase is not about a primate's rude bits. The phrase refers to ships about 200 years ago that carried cannon balls on a brass platform called a monkey. When it was really cold, the monkey shrank and the balls rolled off!
