ABOUT ME

Well, I consider myself a rather social guy who enjoys meeting and getting to know new people. However, I also do have the need of some calm and reflection just on my own sometimes. I am quite playful and enjoy almost everything related to games and sports. I'm interested in knowing more people, more places, more stories, more languages etc.

A stranger is a friend you have not yet gotten to know is a good phrase, I believe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had people couchsurfing at our place when I was living in Rwanda with Sigri. Also had another Sigrid living at Vegard and my place a couple of times. Have always wanted to try it out myself, but still not started!Edit: had one stay in Lithuania which was really nice, so I'm looking forward to trying it out more!

Interests

I love good music, travelling, board games, football, a good movie or book, and of course hanging with friends. In addition to this I really enjoy my job as a secondary school teacher, and volunteering for organizations like the Red Cross.

Music, Movies, and Books

Into the Wild, the Idiots, Dead Man Walking and Monty Python and the quest for the holy grail all made different sorts of impressions on me, to name a few movies. Pearl Jam are the musical love of my life, and I enjoy different types of novels on my spare time (like Life of Pi, Hemingway, to name a couple), while currently reading my second fantasy book, Game of Thrones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a good friend of mine been punched in the shoulder by a huge silverback gorilla up in the volcanic mountains of Rwanda. That was quite cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a decent photographer, and I do know a thing or two about relations and conflicts between people. comes in handy every once in a while. I really should learn how to dance. And more languages, always. ++++
