Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am an open minded guy. I am always interested to meet other people and hear their story. I have often found that this changes my own perspective on life. This is very important to me as I believe that keeping contact with people outside your own bubble will lead to a better world.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movie is a difficult question! Probably 'Contact' (1997), based on a book by Carl Sagan about science, religion and adventure (good combination). I also like arthouse movies (Another Earth, Moonlight, 8 mountains). Somehow I am able to remember memorable quotes from movies quite well. So you can expect to hear them from me often at the proper occasion.

When I study I listen a lot to film soundtracks as this helps me concentrate (it also sometimes helps me to pick the next movie I will watch!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 I cycled from the Netherlands to Paris. I love cycling and travelling by bike. It is not as fast paced as travelling by car but also not as slow as walking. You are open to the world around you and it's all done by human power.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When you host me you will find that I am a chill person. I like to approach many things in life with this attitude. I always want to make time to hear about you. Listen more, talk less, that's a good motto I would say.
