ABOUT ME

I love music (especially jazz), but also includes most other genres. MOST. Don't care too much for country. I love sports (especially football) but basically anything - basketball, swimming, equestrian events, hockey, soccer, baseball, etc... I have now lived in 8 different states/provinces and want to quadruple that number by the time I die. I love everything about travel and meeting new people and interacting with every single culture out there. I am at that awesome point in my life where I am realizing the millions of different things I am interested in from health/medicine, to knitting, to psychology, to self-sustainability. I like movies, but not too much. I do like to quote them a lot, though. I have lived in both the country and the city and enjoy both lifestyles. I try to be the most helpful I can to everybody and am constantly trying to improve myself in every way to basically become the best version of myself possible!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had one couch surfing experience so far, but I liked it enough I am definitely going to continue! Once I get settled in a place more permanently I am planning on hosting as much as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jazz, reggae, rock, pop, some rap, R&B, some indie, classical, as far as music is concerned. Movies: You've Got Mail, Remember the Titans, Red, Harry Potter series, Oceans Series, Stranger than Fiction, Batman movies, Star Trek, Stargate SG-1, U-571, Life is Beautiful, Megamind, shall I keep going...? Books - I don't read NEARLY as much as I should. I am a Harry Potter fan. I am currently reading 'Lies My Teacher Told Me'. I like reading suspense novels (John Grisham), anything in a series (except Twilight-BLEGH!), psychology books (The Road Less Traveled), and modern political/economical books (The Meltdown).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have climbed the 6th tallest peak in the contiguous US.
I was 1st place in district and 4th place in State Solo & Ensemble.
I drove a vehicle with 3 miles on the odometer. I was pretty excited about that...

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about everything. EVERYthing. Culture, music, food, art, sciences, literature, computers, crafts, psychology, etc...
I have taught piano lessons. Unfortunately however teaching is something I think I do better by example than by formal teaching. I like discovering ways to teach people in ways that cater to them.
I like to share in moderation. I like to be understood and I like to be able to share talents that I have, but I don't like to smother people with it either.
