ABOUT ME

A Brazilian-French-US environmental journalist, photographer and filmmaker who loves to travel, meet people, exchange ideas, learn about different cultures, celebrate beauty and honor nature. i am Vegetarian (ovo-lacto). Following a spiritual path to better understand life. I have visited 156 countries.

PHILOSOPHY

my first priority is live is Traveling. That is why I have created in 1994 the concept of TRAVELOLOGY - the art and science of Traveling. Other priorities are photographing, filming, writiing, telling stories (about travels.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a traveler, I would love to meet local people in their own town to better understand their life. My next journey would be in Russia, Ukrania, Minsk and the Baltic countries and, as a journalist, would love to meet CS people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just started at CS in June 2011. However, during the last 30 years, I have traveled extensively and friend's houses have been always a safe harbour.

Interests

From mid-July to mid-August Safira and I are planning to visit Russia, Finland, the Baltic countries, Belarus and Ukraine. We are searching for couchs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From November 2009 to July 2010 I have traveled with my son Mikael (26) thru 18 African countries. During the 40.000-km journey called LIGHTS OF AFRICA, we produced 10 TV stories and 10 feature sotries for the Brazilian media.
