Learning and traveling.

I love food and music and books. I love meeting new people and traveling to new places. I play guitar (well) and drums (not so well) and I sing (mostly screaming). I organize and play at punk and folk rock shows. I cook food a lot and like to talk about and learn about food. Also I love to learn about anything. I'm fairly goofy. I get along well with pretty much everyone. I love Batman

PHILOSOPHY

A revolution without dancing is not a revolution worth having.

One of the best ways to understand someone is to understand their relationship to food.

If you treat people well generally they will treat you well, so actively try not to be a dick or a cynic.

Fighting racism, sexism, homophobia, and all types of prejudice and inequality is absolutely necessary and a constant process. A culture of equality is created by constant conscious effort. DO IT. DUH.

A sense of humor is great, but empathy is more important than everything else.

Though I have hosted and been hosted by many people (including strangers) during my 25 years on this earth, I am brand new to the couch surfing website and I'm excited to try it out for my upcoming visit to spain.

I love Fitzgerald, Joyce, Beckett, Bradbury, Barthelme, Jonathan Franzen, Jonathan Safran Foer-- in music some of the things I love include dixieland jazz, weird 60s soul / R&B / pop (and all weird pop music in general), Kanye, The Magnetic Fields, The Clash, Talking Heads, Justin Timberlake, Wiz Khalifa, and LCD Soundsystem.
