We are a multicultural family of 4 traveling the world for a year. We are looking to promote peace through understanding at a personal level because if you know someone, it's harder to hate them.

Peace is not achieved through politics. It's achieved through interacting with people who are different than we are.

I am also a member of Rotary International and we engage in service projects along the way.

We can't afford to stay in hotels for 12 months, and we really don't want to -- we want to meet locals, see how they live and find out more about them while they find out more about us.

Once we get home, we look forward to showing hospitality to people who come to our area.

We see ourselves as ambassadors, we want to tell you what life is like for us in the farthest corner of California and we want to hear what life is like for you: what you eat, the music you listen to, your religious beliefs, what you hear about the US, etc.

We really like people! We like to meet them, to eat with them, and to discuss the things that we know, or the things we think. We are here to spread peace through understanding.
