Hi! I’m Harry. My girlfriend (Meg) and I (both 24) are currently travelling South East Asia and Australia. We left the UK in Oct 2022.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is new to us as a couple! We’ve been recommended it a couple of times whilst travelling so thought we’d give it a try in Australia for the first time. We feel like this would suit us well given we are “budget backpackers”! We miss home comforts (i.e, cooking) and like the idea of our own space (private rooms) as opposed to hostels/dormitories. Staying in someone’s home away from home is more appealing to us, it’s also a great opportunity for us to meet new people and gain new friends.

It’d be great to find a host we can chat and enjoy a meal with, share our experiences and hear their stories in return. Someone who knows the local area well and can give their top tips and recommendations would be most helpful (but not essential as we will do our own research!)

P.s - we are self-sufficient, clean and tidy and not disruptive! Promise
