About me:
Born and grew up in a small town called Sungai Petani, in the state of Kedah, Malaysia. This is where my childhood began till end of high school. After high school, I left hometown for work, study and work life again.
Started living independently since after high school. Generally, I’m easy going, humbled and open minded. Love tattoos, green/grey/blue eyes and nice people. Being a vegetarian since 2001 (17/09/2001).

My hometown is also closer to Penang, ~35min drive. Penang island is quite well known in Malaysia, a lot of them love Penang for the UNESCO World Heritage Site and for its foods.

My PAST:
After high school, I started work in Singapore for the first 4 years till 2010 and then left Singapore to further my studies in central Malaysia. Studied 4 years at Nilai & Petaling Jaya and later, worked in Kuala Lumpur for a year and more.

My CURRENT:
In Oct 2015, I moved to Johor Bahru, JB, when I got a job in Singapore again. JB is the southern gateway to Malaysia and accessible to Singapore by land/road. And, I commute daily from JB to Singapore and vice versa for work.

My INTERESTS:
Open to new experiences.
Love outdoor activities like hiking, nature walk, cycling; cafe hunt, cooking, learn about new cultures/experiences and mobile photography.

I can host in JB, Malaysia if I’m available or not too busy. If you are coming over weekdays, I probably spend less time with you due to work/commute.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A great platform to make some new friends, learn/share ideas, travel experiences, cultures and new experiences or knowledge.
Sometimes, I can be your friendly guide when I’m around. I’m happy to drive you around nearby places and sometimes, even far if time permits.

Some notes for your journey to my place:

Coming to JB from Singapore:

Take note that my place located about 21km away from JB town/immigration to Singapore, about 40min drive, 19km from Senai Airport, about 25min drive in non-peak hours. Grab car is ideal for transport but you get bus (no direct bus, you will alight nearby location to my place, Mutiara Rini) or hitchhiking which takes longer time.

Coming from central/north (KL/Malacca/Penang):

By bus:
Nearest bus station: Tunku Tun Aminah (TUTA) Bus Terminal. About 5km away from my place.
Landmark: Opposite Mydin Mutiara Rini (Hypermarket)
Google this place for your forward planning.

However, Larkin Bus Terminal is the main hub bus station in JB, which about 18km away from my place.

If you are coming from KL/Malacca by bus, you can chose to alight at Sri Putri Petron Petrol Station and take a grab car to my place. Usually bus express go to Larkin terminal first and then to TUTA terminal. As the main road to Larkin and back to TUTA via Jalan Skudai/Skudai Highway) is usually heavy traffic jam during peak hours and on weekends. So, it will take a lot of your time (likely 1-2 hrs in addition). If you don’t mind, you can just follow the bus route, otherwise you can alight the location I mentioned earlier and pay a bit extra on grab car/taxi (likely ~ MYR 10) or try hitchhiking.
