About Me

I rather fond of hobbits and Tolkein. My favourite quote in the world is one of Bilbo's in Lord of the Rings “‘It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out of your door,” he used to say. ‘You step into the Road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there is no telling where you might be swept off to.'. And that is really my motto in life.

I am a spontaneous guy. I have a desire to seek adventure in the outdoors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet some locals in the country, make friends and save money when I go to countries which are far too expensive for my budget if i was to go in normal accomodation. I want to hike and explore the mountains but i dont want to fork out £100 or even £50 for the night. Im used to tents and wild camping but due to regulations in some countries, i cannot do this and so need to find somewhere to stay for the night.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite books include Lord of the rings series, The Hobbit, Touching the Void, all the Phillip Pullman books especially the Amber spyglass. Favourite movie ever is Kick Ass.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the TMB IN 2017 through switzerland, italy and france.

I've done Ten Tors - 96km in 2 days carrying a heavy backpack (to be self sufficient) over Dartmoor.

Camped in a 3 man tent with 6 guys (one tent got submerged in heavy rain).

Jumped off a 60 ft cliff lol.

Im going to the Amazon Jungle in 2020 as part of a Scout/British exploring expedition.

Made a canoe with my dad.

Did a stage invasion with a few mates at a local festival to give the crowd some positive vibe.

Did winter mountaineering in Scotland, staying in bothies and snow holes and going through various valleys swell as ascending stunning peaks.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be willing to teach anyone some skills in guitar, bushcraft, or even how to make the most perfect cupaa tea. If you come down my way i can teach you how to surf!

I can teach you how to make a really good lemon drizzle cake
