ABOUT ME

Harry: I'm English and moved to Edinburgh with Ewa one and a half years ago. I work for the government but what I do is very secret so I can't tell you! I love sport but I'm not keen on celebrity culture. My favourite things are warm sunshine (not very often in Edinburgh!), eating frankfurters and drinking good beer.
Ewa: I'm Polish and I've been living in the UK for the last 3,5 years. I'm looking for my dream job (or rather trying to define what my dream job would be). In the meantime I work as a conference and events assistant at the Hilton hotel in Edinburgh. I love the moments when I feel inspired-by something or someone. My recent inspirations have been yoga and salsa! I couldn't live without music, traveling and white chocolate!

PHILOSOPHY

Personal philosophy: "never trust a fart!" (that's our favourite quote by Jack Nicholson).

We are new to CouchSurfing but we believe that meeting people is never a one way experience. We want to give and we want to take:)

兴趣

Harry: I love to cycle - Edinburgh has some nice challenging hills! I like studying maps, architecture (new and old) and the landscape. I also enjoy raising money for my favourite charities.
Ewa: I also like cycling but I find it hard to keep up with Harry when we cycle up hills!:) Plus I love to swim, read, listen to music, paint.

Harry: We both like Jack Nicholson a lot! I try to listen to different types of music and still believe in buying CDs - my collection is ever-expanding! Current favourite albums/artists are Fugazi, Air 'Love 2', Radiohead and Fever Ray. I like to read about peoples travel experiences. The best book I read recently was The Damned United.
Ewa: I used to go to a small cinema in my hometown that was showing niche and low-budget films each week. I've seen quite a lot of them and believe that they broadened my horizons. I prefer the story to the special effects.// I love exploring different kinds of music and I am open to everything. Trip hop and rock are my favourites. If I could be born again I'd be PJ Harvey:)//I love books, especially crime stories. My recent addictions are by Ian Rankin and Stieg Larsson.

Harry: I want to help people improve their language skills in return for improving my own. I also would love to shear a sheep!
Ewa: You may believe you can see beyond your nose but each time you meet another person you realise there ARE other lives, not just yours. I wanna see my life through the lives of others.
