About Me

Not much of a talking person unless you want me to talk about something. I can spend weekends binge watching as well as happy hauling highways for days. Too lazy to initiate, but once in good company can go on running all the clubs in town. Always try someone to get people together for my parties, though take over once they get invitation. So, maybe not good at breaking ice, but you can try me once the ice broken:)
Get bored in crowd of similar people, so try to keep it diversified.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why you ask? I think everyone should be on Couchsurfing. When I am not a guest, I should be a host, is there any other role?

Music, Movies, and Books

My friends here know me as more of a classic, blues, folk and country guy. I got acknowledged as a Raggae person by a Bob Marley's countryman-DJ. I was there at Golden Hall, Vienna to listen Mozart's. I paid tribute to Jim Morrison by visiting his grave at Pere Lachaise. I play Ennio Morricone (Farewell to Cheyenne) while cruising deserts before noon. I enjoy first music composition (Greek). So, let me know what you make out of all this:))
I would say Holywood mostly sucks as does Bollywood, thanks Lollywood didn't get a chance. German, Italian, Swedish, French and Russian masters do the movies, Scandinavian, Polish, Hungarian, Brits, and Estonian have some legends. Japanese and Koreans are good at making some masterpieces. Just don't give me bang blah blah bang and I can sit for even seven hours to watch "Satantango". Give me Sergio Leone and I can gather people to watch together. If I get "Wild Tales", I'll go and force you to watch. Ingram Bergman! I can discuss it over and over, how Church is the main character in his head. And I still remember "Cranes are Flying" and that brave old man picking "Tangerines".Fellini was a feminist, haven't you watched "City of Women":)
Don't categorise me on books, I've five different translations of Homer and all those in print. I've saved Dante for my retirement, Plato is my Platonic love. Marx has been like a brilliant mess. Camus made me live his world so did the "On human bondage". "The Idiot" lead me to Chekhov, Gorky, and then I met Tolstoy... 1984 was promising boredom, Khalil Jibran is for children as is Paulo Coelho. Shakespeare is only possible when you are in tragedy or short of words on tragedy. Freud can be obsessed with childish things, give try to watch Lacan doing the mixing of dangerous methods. Economics is very boring, but Pickety can be there. I didn't know math, music, and painting can be a recursive loop but "Golden Braid" said so. Carl Sagan was hell of a follower of EinStein, wandering from TV to Novels out of space. History is a personal narrative but I wanted to see how Babur, Alexander, Napoleon, Akbar etc wanted themselves to be seen, I knew I could go to Hugo for more details on typeset, Notre Dame, hunchback, and French.
