ABOUT ME

We are a couple, Colm and Mico, one from Ireland, one from the USA, living in Ireland about 1 hour south of Dublin. We live in the country with 2 dogs (Lucie and Finn) and 1 scaredy cat (Boo) in a house on 1 acre with a guest bedroom - good spot to spend a night or two in the country between Dublin and the South of Ireland. We travel when we can get away - 2007 was Morocco and Switzerland. We mostly traveled for family or work or music last year - the animals keep us home a lot. Colm plays drums and tablas and will travel to play/learn/hear more. He also sells tea and makes furniture. Mico designs clothes and sells tea and wants to put in a vegetable garden in the spring. We work from home, walk the dogs in the mountains or the beach, cook big vegetarian meals and the occasional fish.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have a friend who came to visit from the US a few years ago and she is part of this project. She recommended it as we are fellow travel lovers and enjoy meeting others who are interested in the world around them. Colm has couchsurfed on his own a few times and really enjoyed the experience. We have hosted a number of surfers over the past few years

Interesses

we both watch too many movies of all sorts, from arthouse to hollywood action to animation, but not much TV, unless it is nature programs! We listen to all sorts of music (though Mico listens to too much news on the radio) Colm loves water sports - has raced white water Kayaks on grade 4 in Ireland and loves to swim and fish. Mico prefers plants and hills and forest walks. We both love animals, cooking (especially new recipes from other countries) and good company.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Colm being a drummer means we listen to all types of music, from all over the world (we met at a music festival in Seattle). Mico being an avid reader means we have piles of bad murder mystery and fantasy novels along with good fiction and great non-fiction on the bookshelves. Mico's favourite non-fiction: All About Love by bell hooks, it changed my view of relationships.
