ABOUT ME

I'm a born and raised Ottawan. I have a passion in geography and politics. I currently work as an analyist for a polling firm.

From what I gather, I'm a pretty easy going and nice guy. You will learn a lot from me and have a pretty good time, I think.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is about seeking happiness. Try and fulfill that as much as possible, as long as you try to make others happy as well!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As awesome as travelling is, I am not that much of a globetrotter. I find having couchsurfers over to be a different kind of travelling, as I find out as much from them and where they come from as they do from me. I joined the project after surfing with my friends in Quebec City, and decided that having couchsurfers over would be so much fun, and it was. In Summer 2009, I had surfers over almost every weekend, until my roommates thought it was getting too much. When I moved in with my current common-law wife, we had surfers over again almost every weekend until she gave birth to our daughter in 2010. Since then, we had been too busy with life to have surfers over, but we began again in the Summer of 2016. We stopped during the pandemic, but plan to have surfers again in 2023.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed in Quebec City with friends in 2008. Since 2016, we have begun surfing as a family. In 2016 we went to Montreal, in 2017 we went to St. Catharines/Niagara Falls and in 2018 we went to Vancouver. Surfing as a family may seem daunting, but based on our experience, it is worth a try!

Politics, Geography, Sports, but I have a well rounded knowledge in just about anything! I'm an avid curler (hurry hard!) and commuter cyclist. I'm also and administrator on Wikipedia.

I like most kinds of music. As for movies, I've seen far fewer than the average person, but I prefer comedies. I'm not a big reader, but we have a ton of books anyway if you like to read!
