Overview
About Me
Hello, my name is Hauca Stefan. I am a student at UNATC in Bucharest, and for some years, I have longed for an adventure. As luck would have it, this year two friends and I have landed a one-month internship at ICR Paris.
I don't want to end my adventure there, and I have made a pact with myself that I will travel to all the capitals of Europe by the time I am 22. It's a far stretch, but I am certain that with some confidence and help from the good people of this platform, I can achieve my dream.
I have an interest in films and filmmaking, and so I want to make a documentary about my adventure—nothing professional, just me and my trusty, dusty camcorder that I got off of Vinted.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet interesting people and experience different cultures from the eyes of a local, as Anthony Bourdain once said. I want to be a traveler, not a tourist, and I want to meet people who are passionate about living the best years of their youth to the fullest.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
I am a fan of many genres, including classical music, grunge, classic and experimental rock, and even metal. If I had to pick one for each, I would say Tchaikovsky for classical, Alice in Chains for grunge (though Soundgarden is a close second), Dire Straits for classic rock, and Pink Floyd for experimental, since their soundtrack has decorated my high school years.
Movies
I am very much into the French New Wave, and my favorite director is Jean-Luc Godard. I also love Tarkovsky and Kubrick, but if I'm being honest and putting aside the "artsy" stuff, the Scooby-Doo trilogy is "goated," and Paddington 2 will forever be in my heart.
Books
I haven't read a lot of books lately, but if I had to pick some, I would choose Notes from Underground by F.M. Dostoevsky and Diary of a Wimpy Kid as the cornerstones of my personality
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have dubbed the Romanian version of Wednesday. I was the voice for Xavier Thorpe in Season 1 (you can see it on my profile).
Teach, Learn, Share
Aside from the obvious skill of teaching Romanian to anyone who wants to learn, I can also make a killer egg and chicken fried rice, raspberry tart, and my pièce de résistance: a tuna sandwich that has received a standing ovation from my friends at every drunk night out. I also have a keen sense of cleanliness, which is part of my OCD. I can also teach guitar since I was in a couple of bands in high school. If you like acting, I can also teach you different secrets on how to use your voice properly or how not to stutter when talking to a girl.
I want to learn how to cook local foods, learn the language, and many other things like surfing, jumping on a pogo stick, doing a wheelie on a bike, or different party tricks.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A comfortable bed in the acting dorm, a hot shower, a nice meal, and enough life lessons to fill a fortune cookie. Also, I'd like to know about local bars, clubs, museums, and places to go and to avoid. On the weekends, I go to the cinemateque to watch a couple of classic movies, if you want to join.
