About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore the world and myself. Not only be adventurous but actually have adventures.

ABOUT ME

My name is Kyle, I grew up in a small town in Michigan, USA. Not moving far away enough for college, I became stir crazy and well, joined the Peace Corps. I was in Gaoua, Burkina Faso teaching computers (in french!) for 2 years.

So now I'm a newly returned Peace Corps volunteer. Ready to explore the world (well mostly Europe at this time). I would really like to meet up with fellow travelers to get more information on the rest of Europe. Guidebooks are great and all, but I want to hear the personal experience.

I'm 6'4" (~193cm), blue eyes, lightbrown hair.
I don't smoke, well other than hookah (sheesha), I smoke that like a fiend.
I do drink. Currently trying to learn about wines.
Also I now can confidently say I am trying to be a vegetarian.

PHILOSOPHY

Choose and Choice, these things our voice.
Also, life is about connection and experience. It's really the only thing that matters.

Interests

Art, Hiking, anything a young guy would want to do...
I also like to do crafts, make jewelry. And I can also do some card tricks, but that only seems cool once.
Mildly addicted to Suduko, I can sit for hours just doing these.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading: The 'how to' for WordPress sites.

Recently read: David Sedaris "When engulfed in Flames" (finished it and it was amazing)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Burkina Faso, went to the funeral of a 90 year old VIP in my village. It was surreal. The dancing and celebratory nature of the ordeal mixed with the solemness of the elders and wailing of the wives (yes I know it's plural, it's meant to be he had several).

Teach, Learn, Share

I like macrome, my specialty is doing ones that are actually "macromed" to someone. Like a friendship bracelet that doesn't come off. Willing to teach people how to. Also just spent two years in Burkina Faso, and am willing to tell stories and explain culture, maybe teach some burkinabe local language.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Burkina Faso, United States
