Hiya :) I'm Hayden, originally from Melbourne but now living in London (because it's rite-of-passage for all 20-something Aussies apparently). I grew up by the beach but really love all the amazing people there are to meet in city life.

Favourite pastime is dancing my butt off wherever good tunes can be found, or rotting on the couch with a movie. I’m a vegan (but don’t care if you aren’t), and can be a bit of a nerd – my favourite part about visiting new cities is often just wandering around to marvel at the infrastructure and the history. Bonus points for good local beer.

I make movies for a living! Super lucky to have travelled a lot for work as well – the best part of my job is uncovering stories in places you would never think to visit as a tourist. Guess that's also why I love Couchsurfing xx

Music, Movies, and Books

As a filmmaker you’d be shocked how many movies I haven’t seen so please send through your recommendations! I reckon two of 2024's best were 'Challengers' and 'Queer' – can't believe Luca Guadagnino made them both. Genius. 'Dune: Part Two' was a ripper as well, I'm not normally a big sci-fi guy but I'm obsessed with the way Denis Villeneuve packs it with philosophy ('Arrival' is one of my all-time faves).

When it comes to music, if I can boogie to it I'm probably happy. Big fan of all things psytrance, acid, tech house, and can't miss UKG here in London. I've also got a background as a jazz musician so I love some funky indie soul rnb vibes.
