About Me

I am a junior in college studying sustainable agriculture and traditional music in Asheville, North Carolina, U.S.A. My family and I run a diversified farm in Wisconsin during the summer months when I'm not in school. Once I graduate, I will probably move back to Wisconsin to work on the farm full time.

I play guitar in a rock band called The Blisters since I was 8. I am equally passionate about sustainable farming as I am about playing music. It has been tough to balance these two conflicting interests throughout most of my life.

In college, I started playing traditional old time music, which is essentially American folk music mostly from the Appalachian mountains that has roots in Irish, English, French, and African traditions. I play banjo and guitar in an old time band at school.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have experience growing vegetables, crops and raising livestock in a diversified agroecosystem. Perhaps that can translate to yard work or landscaping around your home. I also love talking about ecology and food systems. perhaps I can offer a new perspective in sustainable living from a farmers point of view.

I'm happy to share my experience as a musician

I'm somewhat familiar with carpentry. my dad is an architect and since I was little I have helped him with projects. I enjoy using a lathe and building banjos.

Living in the Appalachian mountains in North Carolina I learned how to distill moonshine from local corn and fruit. I've also made some cider that I like. working on getting better at fermenting beer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Ireland, Italy, Malta
