Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I generally love all types of music. I enjoy listening to classical music if the mood takes me as I find it relaxing. I've recently discovered that I like some country music like Johnny Cash, Keith Urban and country of that nature. Mostly I enjoy pop and rock music. My favourite artists include Robbie Williams, Katy Perry, AC/DC, Pink, The Eagles, The Corrs, John Farnham - my tastes are wide and varied. I like easy listening music, 60s music, Elvis Presley and some of the Beatles earlier stuff. At the end of the day if its current or old but mainstream I'll probably like it.

Movies: I love all movies from comedy to horror to some classics to drama. And of course I love my sci-fi and fantasy. Most recently I've seen Angels with Dirty Faces, Pacific Rim and Dark Skies. I love Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and the Harry Potter movies. I also liked Straw Dogs, Cabin in the Woods, Last House on the Left, Wolf Creek, Dog Soldiers, 30 Days of Night, the Evolution movies, The Matrix movies, The Saw series, Nightmare on Elm Street series. I'm sure you get the idea. Like my taste in music, my taste in movies is also wide and varied. Most recent movie I've seen at the cinema was The Water Diviner with Russell Crow and before the I saw the last of the Hobbit movies, The Battle of Five Armies in 3D. I also enjoyed the Expendables movies, Die Hard, Mercury Rising. Again you get the idea. :)

Books: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, 50 Shades of Grey, Authors: Megan Hart, Indigo Bloom and anything dog training. At the moment I'm also studying so I'm reading a lot about Information Technology, teaching English as a Foreign Language and photography.

And I LOVE watching TV series/box sets. I enjoyed True Blood, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Alphas, Game of Thrones, Revolution, Firefly, Falling Skies, Bones, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals. Again my tastes are wide and eclectic but I tend to favour the sci-fi and fantasy themes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've never really done anything to get the adrenalin pumping but I have just booked a massive tour of Europe which I will be undertaking in May - 26 days and 15 countries. Not bad for my first ever time overseas.

And I'd have to say that later in the year, the most amazing thing I'll have done will be to create a new life - an amazing new person and give birth. And I'll be doing it as a single mum. That's pretty amazing right!? :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn some new languages and to cook some new food! I'm a swimming teacher and lifeguard and dog trainer so I am happy to teach any skill that I have.

I can sort of play the piano, clarinet and tin whistle. But if you have a dog that you're having problems with I'm more than happy to help you out and teach you some pointers - perhaps you may even be thinking of getting a dog but you don't have one yet!

I am also studying Information technology and Teaching English as a Foreign Language so I'm more than happy to share any knowledge or skill in those areas too.

I'm a reasonable cook, and I throw together a delicious spaghetti bolognaise, I do an amazing barbeque and cook some amazing vegetarian recipes that I'm more than happy to share if the fancy takes you. I can also do a beautiful chicken or sausage curry and recently learnt how to make lasagne. I also make a delicious cottage/shepherds pie.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and will happily share some recipes and cook for my hosts. Or teach them anything I may be able to share.

I'd love to share my knowledge of anything - I'm a generous person and a patient teacher.

I would love to cook my hosts a meal, or teach them anything that I can that they may have an interest in.
