About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel 4 continents in 9 months

ABOUT ME

We are a friendly and relaxed British couple currently enjoying an extended honeymoon in Uganda. In 2013 we will be travelling to Brazil, Bolivia, Peru and Chile; New Zealand, Australia; Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia; Sri Lanka and India.

PHILOSOPHY

We each get one life, so we should make the most of it, and help others to make the most of their lives too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are interested in getting to know new people and countries through couchsurfing, and plan to host once we return to the UK.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No specific experience yet with the couchsurfing website but we have hosted numerous friends and even some strangers at our home in Cheltenham.

Interests

We are interested in walking, wildlife, going out and getting to know the people in the countries we visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

We are looking forward to watching The Hobbit when we return to the UK at Christmas. Andy runs a music festival in his spare time that plays new British Underground music- rock, metal, indie, alternative, folk and dance DJs so we love all different types of music. We have been doing a lot of reading while in Uganda, several non fiction books about Africa but we also enjoy novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We've spent the last three months volunteering in Uganda, which also included a one week holiday to see mountain gorillas, tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos and much more.
Our honeymoon was in Scotland: Glasgow and the Isles of Arran, Mull and Skye, the views are breathtaking.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can tell you a lot about what it is like to live in Uganda after being here for 3 months. If you want to improve your English language skills we are happy to help with this. We would love to learn some of the local language and get tips for good places to go in the countries we are visiting.
